Clerk committed suicide inside the office
There was a stir in Karnataka’s Belagavi city on Tuesday when the dead body of a 35-year-old government employee working as a second class assistant in the Tehsildar office was found. According to preliminary investigation, police suspect that he committed suicide. The deceased has been identified as Rudranna Yadavannavar. The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the sanitation workers reached the office. According to the police, Rudranna wrote a message on social media and in the WhatsApp group of Tehsildar office employees, “He will commit suicide on November 4, 2024, around 7.30 pm. He has held three people responsible for his death, including Tehsildar Basavaraj Nagral, office employees Ashok Kabbaligar and Somu.
Allegations on PA of Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar
According to reports, Somu is the personal assistant to Minister of Women and Child Development and Empowerment of Disabled and Senior Citizens Lakshmi Hebbalkar. Police have not yet been able to confirm whether Somu is the same person mentioned in the note or not. According to police sources, Rudranna was recently transferred to the neighboring area Savadatti. Since Rudranna’s wife also works in the same office, he tried to stop this transfer. According to sources, Rudranna allegedly paid a bribe of Rs 2 lakh to the Tehsildar to stop his transfer. Whereas minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s PA Somu was given Rs 50,000. Even after paying bribe, he was transferred, due to which he got upset and hanged himself in the office.

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje targeted Lakshmi Hebbalakar over this incident. He said that apart from Belagavi and Bengaluru, Lakshmi Hebbalakar has also opened a commission shop in Udupi (the district of which she is the minister in charge). Rudranna has committed suicide in the Tehsildar office. He has taken the name of Lakshmi Hebbalakar’s PA before committing suicide, when can this happen, it can happen only in such a situation when pressure is applied by the minister, only then the name of the PA comes out. He said that there should be a high level investigation into this matter and all the accused should be arrested.
