New Delhi. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta met PM Narendra Modi on Saturday after assuming office. It is believed that CM Rekha Gupta took guidelines from PM Modi regarding fulfilling the promises made by the BJP in Delhi. This month all the MLAs in the Delhi Assembly will take oath. Then the president will be elected. After which Rekha Gupta government will present the budget. Rekha Gupta has already announced that after passing the budget, on March 8, the first installment will be given to the poor women of Delhi under the scheme to give Rs 2500 every month.

CM Rekha Gupta had decided in the first cabinet meeting that the Ayushman Bharat scheme should be implemented for the poor and the elderly in Delhi. At the same time, the cabinet had also decided that all CAG reports would be placed on the table of the assembly. CM Rekha Gupta has to fulfill the promise of giving Rs 21000 to pregnant women, pension of Rs 3000 to the elderly in Delhi, cleaning of Yamuna, garbage disposal, streets and roads, besides purchasing new buses for public transport. The BJP had promised before the Delhi assembly elections that free electricity and water facilities would continue to be available when its government is formed. In such a situation, CM Rekha Gupta has to make arrangements for this item in the budget of Delhi. In Delhi, BJP has won 48 seats in the 70 -seat assembly elections. Whereas, for more than 10 years, Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party, which has been in power in Delhi for more than 10 years, gave a shock to the Aam Aadmi Party and handed over only 22 seats. Apart from Arvind Kejriwal, all the leaders including Aam Aadmi Party number two leaders Manish Sisodia, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, former ministers Satyendra Jain and Rakhi Bidlan lost the assembly elections. CM Atishi and Gopal Rai are among the leaders of the party who managed to save their seats.
