Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said on Wednesday that “National Herald is our newspaper and we will continue to advertise it.” In a special court of New Delhi in the National Herald case, he has been accused of money laundering of Rs 988 crore against the ED filed against former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and others in the Lok Sabha.
Sukhu BJP’s Himachal Pradesh unit president Rajiv Bindal was responding to the claim that the Congress government of the state has issued large -scale advertisements to the National Herald. When asked about the claims of the state BJP chief, the Chief Minister said, “National Herald is our newspaper and we will continue to advertise it.”
‘Crores of scams recorded in National Herald’
Earlier, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur also said that the Sukhu government of the Congress now wants to intimidate the investigating agencies across the country. The Congress wants the country’s investigative agencies to give the Congress an open hand to do any kind of corruption and do not take any action against them. He alleged that the Congress has been an old manner to do corruption and then instigate the corrupt.
He further said, there is a scam of crores of rupees in the National Herald. He also has documents, evidence and witnesses. How can the Congress run away from it, so the people of Congress should respect the established procedures of law instead of spreading anarchy in this manner. If he is not guilty then he should not be afraid. Today, ED offices are being siege across the country by the Congress. This siege is being done because the ED has filed a charge sheet against the Congress survey Sarva Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in the money laundering case in which his name has been included. In this way, the surrounded the office of the investigating agencies cannot be justified in any way.
‘Sukhu government advertised two and a half crores to the newspaper whose not a single copy is printed’
Jairam Thakur said that the National Herald would never have heard the case of corruption, the people of Himachal would never have read, in Himachal Pradesh, which does not have a copy, Sukhwinder Singh Sukku’s government has advertised about two and a half crore rupees in two and a half years.
