According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Punjab and Haryana. Cold wave will prevail in both the states. In the last 24 hours, dense fog was seen in most of the cities of Punjab including Amritsar. At the same time, there was fog in and around Ambala, Haryana. This had a huge impact on traffic. The temperature also dropped significantly due to dense fog. In Punjab the mercury is being recorded between 3 to 7 degrees. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be dense fog everywhere in UP. At the same time, due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain in almost all the districts of UP. UP will remain cloudy for the next few days. The minimum temperature in Sikar, Rajasthan on Wednesday was 1.1 degrees. At the same time, dense fog is expected in many districts including Jaipur. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in Rajasthan also.

Due to western disturbance, there may be rain in some parts of Madhya Pradesh.
