Bombay High Court on Kunal Kamra's Petition: Bombay High Court gave permission to continue the investigation against Kunal Kamra, protection from arrest, will be interrogated only in Chennai, Bombay High Court Allows Investigation Against Kamra to Continue, Gives Pro A.S. Interrogation will be done only in Chennai

Mumbai Comedian Kunal Kamra was relieved from the court on the song sung by the deputy CM and Shiv Sena President Eknath Shinde, but now it seems to be getting new. The proceedings of breach of privilege are going to start against Kunal Kamra soon in Maharashtra Legislative Council. During the march session of Maharashtra Legislative Council, BJP MLA Pravin Darkar gave notice of breach of privilege against Sushma Andhare, spokesperson of Comedian Kunal Kamra and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction. Kunal Kamra and Sudhama Andhare can be summoned on this privilege notice in the monsoon session of Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Maharashtra Legislature Secretary Jeetendra Bhole said that the Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde has sent the privilege notice given against Kunal Kamra and Sushma Andhare to the privilege committee headed by BJP MLC Prasad Lad. At the same time, Prasad Lad told the news agency PTI that the notice was discussed by the privilege committee. Now notice will be sent to comedians Kunal Kamra and Sushma Andhare. Kunal Kamra sang a song in a show targeting Eknath Shinde in March 2025. However, Kunal Kamra did not name the Shiv Sena president in her song. On this, Shiv Sainiks raised the place where Kunal sang the song. A police complaint was also given against Kunal Kamra. Kunal Kamra was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

The Mumbai Police had gone to the comedian’s house several times when a case was registered against Kunal Kamra, but Kunal Kamra camped in Tamil Nadu instead of Mumbai. From there, Kunal Kamra directly moved the Bombay High Court for bail. Kunal Kamra has also created controversies earlier. In May 2020, Kunal Kamra put a song with inflation witch in the video of a child sung by a child. The video was deleted by Kunal Kamra after a dispute over this. Kunal Kamra was also engulfed in a dispute with a journalist Arnab Goswami in an aircraft. The Supreme Court also created controversy by Kunal Kamra commenting.
