New Delhi. The presence of M4 rifle in Jammu and Kashmir has raised concerns of security agencies. According to sources, the weapons left by the US Army after withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 are now reaching terrorists in Kashmir through infiltration from Pakistan. Recently, security forces recovered an M4 Carbon assault rifle during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, which makes it clear that terrorists are now using the modern M4 rifle more than the AK-47.
Pictures of terrorists with M4 rifle surfaced in CCTV
Recently, in the terrorist attack on laborers and employees working in the tunnel project in Ganderbal district, terrorists were seen in CCTV footage with M4 rifles. This revealed that these dangerous weapons are reaching the terrorists with the support of Pakistan. M4 rifle has also been recovered from Hizbul Mujahideen’s top commander Sameer Tiger in 2017 and Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Pakistani commander Abu Talha in 2018. When American and NATO forces were deployed in Afghanistan, these rifles were supplied from Karachi in Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Afghanistan. Now these weapons are proving fatal for terrorists in Kashmir.
