New Delhi. Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress are part of the Indi alliance. In the Lok Sabha elections, both the parties had also divided the seats in UP. Now, a conflict can also be seen between SP and Congress on the issue of 10 assembly seats of UP. For the 10 assembly seats of UP where by-elections are to be held, Congress has announced the proposed date of the rally and the name of the media in-charge. This indicates that Congress can field its candidates on all these 10 assembly seats of UP. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav has already been saying that he will defeat BJP in the by-elections of these 10 assembly seats of UP.

In UP, by-elections are to be held on Majhawan seat of Mirzapur, Phulpur seat of Prayagraj, Mirapur seat of Muzaffarnagar, Sisamau seat of Kanpur, Khair seat of Aligarh, Karhal seat of Mainpuri, Kundarki seat of Moradabad, Milkipur seat of Ayodhya, Katehari seat of Ambedkarnagar and Ghaziabad assembly seat. However, the Election Commission has not yet announced the dates of by-elections on these seats. At the same time, Congress has made its intentions clear by announcing the proposed date and media in-charge on these seats. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are on what is the stand of SP President Akhilesh Yadav on this step of Congress. If there is no agreement between SP and Congress on these 10 assembly seats, then a multi-cornered contest is sure to be seen in the by-elections here.

Out of the 10 assembly seats in UP where by-elections are to be held, SP had won 5 last time. BJP had 3, Nishad Party had 1 and Ajit Singh’s RLD had won 1 seat. Ajit Singh was with SP then and now he is a part of NDA after joining BJP. Nishad Party is also in alliance with BJP. If we talk about the alliance between SP and Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, then there was a long discussion between the two on seat sharing. After which SP gave 17 seats to Congress. Congress was able to win 6 of these seats.
