New Delhi. Before the Haryana assembly elections, the political corridors have become active. Discussions are going on about a possible alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, but in Delhi, the relations between the two parties seem to be sour. In a special conversation with Amar Ujala, senior Congress leader Jitendra Kochar has launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. He clearly said that the Congress will not let Arvind Kejriwal win in Delhi at any cost and will fight the next elections on its own.
Jitendra Kochar said that during the Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party workers did not support Congress at all, due to which both the parties had to face disappointing results. He stressed that now Congress should not make any kind of compromise with Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi and should contest the upcoming assembly elections alone. Kochar accused the Aam Aadmi Party and said that AAP leader Somnath Bharti has blamed Congress for his defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, which is completely wrong.
Reacting to the allegations of Somnath Bharti, Kochar said that Bharti does not even know the basics of politics. He said that there is a cycle of victory and defeat in electoral politics, but Bharti is blaming the Congress for his defeat. Kochar also stressed that if today many leaders of Aam Aadmi Party are leaving their party and joining BJP or Congress, then Kejriwal should introspect on this.
Responding to a question on a possible alliance between Congress and AAP in Haryana, Kochar said that this decision has to be taken by the party’s top leadership and the Haryana Congress leaders. However, he made it clear that there is no possibility of any kind of alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi.
