Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday welcomed the decision of six judges of the Supreme Court, who will visit the relief camps of violence affected Manipur on 22 March to strengthen legal and humanitarian aid.
Talking to ANI, Jairam questioned the delay in imposing President’s rule in the violence affected state. “We welcome the decision of six judges of the Supreme Court who will go on March 22 (Manipur). In August 2023, the Supreme Court said that the constitutional system there has completely collapsed. ”
He also questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Manipur issue. Jairam Ramesh said, “And most importantly why Prime Minister is still silent on Manipur?
A delegation of Justice BR Gavai, Justice Suryakant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice MM Sundaresh, Justice KV Vishwanathan and Justice N Kotishwar will visit Manipur relief camps on March 22.
