New Delhi. Expressing displeasure over the raid of the ED at the residence of former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Congress MP Manikam Tagore has made very objectionable remarks. The Congress MP said that we all know that ED has become a pet dog of PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They can send this dog wherever they want. He said, Bhupesh Baghel is a strong leader for the Congress. The Congress party and the people of Chhattisgarh stand with them. We all know that the BJP and the RSS have fought fake things against Bhupesh Baghel and the public understands all this.

Let us tell you that since this morning, ED raids are going on at Bhupesh Baghel and his son Chaitanya Baghel’s house in Bhilai. Also, ED has raided 14 to 15 other places. The ED has taken this action in the liquor scam case in Chhattisgarh. The ED alleges that Chaitanya Baghel is also among those who earned money through liquor scam. The ED has also raided the premises of Lakshmi Narayan Bansal, close to Chaitanya Baghel.
The ED alleges that due to the liquor scam in Chhattisgarh, the beneficiaries of the liquor syndicate received more than 2100 crores. The liquor scam was carried out between 2019 and 2022. At that time there was a Congress government in the state. In this case, ED has seized assets worth about 205 crores of various accused. At the same time, some people have also been arrested in the past. In January, the ED arrested Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh minister Kavami Lakhma, Raipur’s elder brother Anwar Dhebar, former IAS officer Anil Tuteja and Telecom Officer Arun Pati Tripathi.
