Prime Minister Modi met members of the delegations who returned from abroad on Tuesday. These delegations visited various countries to present India’s favor globally after the ‘Operation Sindoor’, which was carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “Now that the Prime Minister himself has met the members of the seven parliamentary delegations who were sent to 32 countries, will he now call a meeting of at least all political parties leaders of all political parties and take them to confidence in the intended strategies of India’s future strategy towards China and Pakistan and the strategic implies of revelations made by CDS in Singapore.
He questioned that in the monsoon session of Parliament, will the Prime Minister would be willing to hold a detailed discussion on the challenges arising after the Pahalgam attack on the country’s security and foreign policy, especially when the demand for a special session of ‘India’ alliance has been rejected unfortunately?
The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 21 and end on August 12.
Ramesh says whether the government will double the efforts to bring the terrorists of the Pahalgam attack into the dock of justice, about which they were reported to have been involved in three terrorist attacks of Poonch (December 2023), Gagangir and Gulmarg (2024) earlier?
He also asked the government whether a group of experts would be formed on the lines of the Kargil Review Committee (which was chaired by the current Foreign Minister) set up in July 1999, who should analyze the operation vermilion in detail and give their recommendations about future wars- including development of new military platforms and technology, strategic communication capabilities in the event of crisis, the development of strategic communication capabilities, etc.
The Congress leader questioned whether the report of this committee -after removing the required amendments and confidential parts -will be presented in Sansad, just as the report of the Kargil Review Committee was kept in Parliament in February 2000?
