Himant Biswa Sarma wrote in the post that only 30 to 35 percent of the water flowing in the Brahmaputra river comes from China. The remaining 70 to 75 percent of the water comes into the Brahmaputra river due to rain in Northeast India. He has written that rivers like Lohit, Kamang Manas, Dhansiri, Subansiri, Jia Bharali and Kopili also bring water to the Brahmaputra. At the same time, Kulsi, Digaru and Krishnai rivers flowing in Khasi, Garo and Jayantia Hills of Meghalaya also give their water in the flow of Brahmaputra. Himanta Biswa Sarma has written that the flow of Brahmaputra river on the Indo-China border is 2000-3000 m3/s. Whereas, in the plains of Assam like Guwahati, it increases to 15000-20000 M3/S during the monsoon. Brahmaputra is a rain -based Indian river. It is strong after coming to India. The CM of Assam said that ‘Brahmaputra is not controlled by any one source, it is governed by our geographical location, monsoon and our civilized flexibility.’
