Jaunpur Police have killed a cow smuggler in an encounter in Jaunpur, UP. Two other cow smugglers were injured by a bullet in the leg. He has been admitted to the hospital. Veeragati, a UP Police jawan, received Veeragati in the encounter. Whereas, a female policeman is injured. 3 more cow smugglers managed to escape during the encounter. The UP police is conducting raids in search of them.
According to the information, cow smuggler Salman was going with his colleagues. Police got intelligence about his movement. On this, there was a plan to catch cow smuggler Salman and his associates in Chandwak area of Jaunpur. When the police laid siege to cow smuggler Salman and his associates and asked him to surrender, the cow smugglers tried to run away by offering a car on the police team. He also fired. The police hit back and cow smuggler Salman was killed on the spot. After the firing stopped, the police found that Salman’s two accomplices were shot in the leg.
Even before this, the police have caught cow smugglers several times in UP. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given an open exemption to the police that whatever illegal work is doing, action should be taken against them. The UP police has been continuously taking action against the miscreants since CM Yogi Adityanath took power in 2017. More than 200 big and prize miscreants have been killed by the UP Police. Apart from this, more than 7000 crooks have also been caught in different encounters. Hundreds of miscreants have also surrendered due to the strictness of UP Police. Now after the death of Salman in the encounter and his two colleagues were caught, cow smuggling is expected to be stopped to some extent.
