New Delhi. There is big news about OBC reservation. According to the newspaper Indian Express, the Central Government is considering the proposal to bring some other areas into OBC Creamylair. The creamylair is not yet applicable to the OBC class people working in these areas. In such a situation, the government is also preparing to bring them to OBC Creamylair to make equivalence. Currently, the limit of OBC creamyer is Rs 8 lakh annually.
According to the report of the newspaper, OBC creamylair is not yet applicable in different organizations of university, educational institutions and state governments. In such a situation, the central government also wants to bring those working in these areas under the purview of OBC creamylair. Professor, Associate and Assistant Professors at the university get the least salary of level 10. This level is equal to level-A in government job. In such a situation, there is talk of bringing them under the purview of OBC creamylair. If the government takes this step, then the sons and daughters of those working in these posts will not get the benefit of OBC reservation. Apart from these, it is proposed to implement the equivalence of OBC creamylair for those working in high positions in state government boards.
Based on the recommendation of the Mandal Commission, 27 percent reservation in education and government jobs for OBC was fixed. However, the states give less reservation to the OBC community. Due to lack of equality, there is also a problem in giving OBC certificate to the needy. In 2017, the decision of equivalence in central government undertakings was taken by the Modi government. Those of the OBC community who are economically and socially strong and hold constitutional positions are considered in creamylair. In the year 1993, the income limit for OBC Creamylair was kept at Rs 1 lakh. Later it continued to be extended.
