New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday handed over the case registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to the Crime Branch on charges of ‘pushing’ in the Parliament complex. An officer said, ‘Now the crime branch will investigate this case.’ Let us tell you that on Thursday, Delhi Police had registered an FIR against Rahul in connection with the ‘pushing’ that took place in the Parliament complex, and now after handing over the case to the Crime Branch, the problems of the Congress leader seem to be increasing. On Thursday, members of the ruling party and the opposition came face to face with each other near the ‘Makar Dwar’ of the Parliament House over the alleged insult to Constitution maker Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and raised slogans.

Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between the opposition and NDA MPs near Makar Dwar in which former minister Pratapchandra Sarangi and BJP Lok Sabha MP Mukesh Rajput were injured. The BJP has filed a police complaint against Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of indulging in ‘physical assault and provocation’ during the ‘pushing’ in the Parliament complex. Section 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 131 (criminal force) of BNS against the Congress leader in Sansad Marg police station. An FIR has been registered under sections 351 (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention).

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said on Friday that after discussions with the leaders of ‘INDIA’ alliance, a decision will be taken on carrying forward the protest against Union Minister Amit Shah’s statement on Ambedkar. The CM also said that Rahul Gandhi will face the legal case registered against him in the case of ‘pushing’ that took place in the Parliament complex. At the same time, Congress General Secretary and Rahul’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra targeted BJP for registering FIR against her brother and said that this shows the level of frustration in the ruling party.
