Crowd of devotees gathered in temples
New Delhi: Leaving behind the year 2024, the new year 2025 has started. As soon as the clock struck 12 at night, people started celebrating. Huge fireworks were done at many places. From Kashmir to Kanyakumar, people left no stone unturned in bidding farewell to 2024 and welcoming 2025. As soon as the morning came, people started flocking towards the temples. A special aarti was performed early today on the first morning of the new year in Mahakal of Ujjain. A large number of devotees participated in this aarti. At the Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura, a long queue of devotees is visible since morning.
At the Jhandewalan temple in Delhi, there is a long queue of devotees since morning. People are coming to seek blessings of Mata Rani on the first day of the new year. The first day of the new year also started with a special aarti at Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. A large number of devotees participated in the Aarti of Lord Ganesha. Special worship is also taking place in the Ram temple of Ayodhya.
On the other hand, there is a huge crowd of devotees in the Golden Temple of Amritsar since midnight. Apart from paying obeisance at the Gurudwara, devotees were also seen taking bath in the holy pond here. In Varanasi too, a special Ganga Aarti was performed on the occasion of New Year on the banks of Ganga Ghat. A large number of devotees from India and abroad participated in this Aarti. Apart from these, a large number of devotees also reached Shirdi Sai Temple, Puri Jagannath Temple and Thiruvananthapuram and had darshan and worship of their deity.
