The death of a social media influencer and YouTuber couple under suspicious circumstances has created a sensation in Kerala. Both were husband and wife. The bodies of both were found at their home in Parasala town of Kerala on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Selvaraj (45) and his wife Priya (40). He has a YouTube channel named ‘Sellu Family’.
Neighbors became suspicious due to bad smell
This incident came to light when people around the house started smelling the smell of a dead body and when they suspected that the couple was missing, they complained to the police. After this the police recovered both the bodies. According to Parasala police, Selvaraj was found hanging, while the body of his wife Priya was lying on the bed. According to preliminary investigation, the deaths may have occurred two days ago.
Hints were given from the last video
Selvaraj worked as a construction laborer and often posted videos with his wife on his YouTube channel. Both of them have more than 18000 subscribers on the YouTube platform and both have posted more than 1400 videos on social media so far. Two days ago he uploaded his last video, which included a heartbreaking song. Death was depicted in this video. There were also pictures of the couple in it. The video’s soundtrack, “Vida Parayukainen Janam”, depicts the final journey towards death. His son Sethu works as a home nurse in Ernakulam.

Neighbors said that the couple was of simple nature and had very little interaction with the villagers. A neighbor said, I have rarely seen anyone except Priya’s mother and her children. Priya’s daughter got married last year. We were invited to the wedding, but even then we barely interacted.
No suicide note found
Police suspect that it is a case of suicide. However, the truth of this incident will be revealed after the post mortem report comes out. Police have not recovered any suicide note from the room. Police are also examining the CCTV footage installed around the house.
