The assembly session will begin on 24 February and the session will run till 27 February. While giving information about the session, Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said that the government will present the CAG report on the second day of the commencement of the House. In this report, corruption during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government has been exposed, which was not allowed by Arvind Kejriwal to appear in the House.
According to news agency ANI, Vijender Gupta said that presenting the CAG report in the assembly is one of the most important agenda of the BJP government, a decision in this regard was also taken in the cabinet meeting held on Thursday. On the first day of the Delhi Assembly session, all 70 MLAs will be sworn in, after which the Speaker and Vice President will be elected. After the election of the speaker and deputy speaker, the CAG report will be kept in the House on the next day of the session and then it will be discussed.
Significantly, the BJP had surrounded the Aam Aadmi Party government, CM Atishi Marlena and former CM Arvind Kejriwal while in opposition. The BJP had announced before the assembly elections that after winning the election, our government would first present the CAG report at the beginning of the assembly session. Now the BJP is going to present the CAG report according to its same thing. In this report, revenue loss of Rs 2,026 crore has been revealed due to irregularities in the AAP government excise policy in Delhi. The report said that many allegations of lack of transparency in pricing and violation of license have been exposed.
