Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said on Tuesday that the cabinet headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved an ordinance to regulate the fees charged by the schools.
Addressing the press conference, Sood said that in the eighth meeting of the cabinet, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led government approved an ordinance based on the proposed Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fee Determination and Regulation) Bill, 2025.
Sood said, “The ordinance will be sent through the Lt. Governor for the approval of the President. This is a happy day for the parents whose children study in private schools. It will take the form of law. ”
