The first stretch of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, which is about 32 km long from Akshardham to Khekra (Baghpat), is likely to be opened to the general public on December 17. This part will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
NHAI (National Highway Authority) has started preparations for the inauguration. The program can be organized near Yamuna Pushte in East Delhi. There is also a possibility of a road show along with the inauguration of the Prime Minister. If for some reason the program is delayed, this part will open after December 20.
Special features of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway
This expressway will make the journey between Delhi and Dehradun very fast and comfortable. The part from Akshardham to Khekra will be opened to the public first. This expressway will improve the entire traffic network by connecting to Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Delhi-Mumbai Connector.
Inauguration of Delhi-Mumbai connector also
A 20 km long section of the Delhi-Mumbai connector will also be commissioned during the inauguration. This will make travel easier.
namo bharat rail updates
The trial of the first route of Namo Bharat Rail (Delhi-NCR’s new fast rail service) has been completed. This train will run from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar via Anand Vihar. CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety) inspection is ongoing. As soon as the approval is received, the train will start running for passengers. Commuters of Noida and Delhi will benefit greatly from this.
Dwarka Expressway work is also almost complete
Along with this, the work of Dwarka Expressway is also in the final stage. Preparations are on to open this also soon.
