New Delhi. Like every year, preparations have started for the Kavad Yatra to be held in the month of Sawan this year. Better arrangements are made by the administration every year to ensure that the Kanwari does not have any kind of problem. Now the BJP government of Delhi has taken two big decisions regarding the Kavad Yatra. The Delhi government has decided that for the Kanwar Yatra arrangement, Kawad committees will be given funds from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 10 lakh. Along with this, free electricity will be provided for Kanwar camps.

These two decisions were approved in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. CM informed that electricity bills up to 1200 units in all Kanwar camps in Delhi will be paid by the government. He said that in the name of serving Kanwar passengers, the previous governments had made this work a base of corruption. Will serve tents all over Delhi, set up camps, tenders were taken out for this and only 2-3 people used to take tenders all over Delhi. In this entire event, crores of rupees were spent by the government, but the Kanwari could not get its benefits.
The Chief Minister said that when we talked to the Kawad committees, he told us that till the last day, tents could not be installed. Eliminating this corruption, we have decided that all the Kanwar committees will be funded through direct benefit transfer from the Delhi government. Let us tell you that the Kavad Yatra has a lot of importance in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. Every year millions of Kanwariyas go to Haridwar to take Ganga water from the districts of Delhi, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh and bring water from there and offer it to Bhole Baba in their vowed temple.
