Voting for the assembly elections is to be held in Delhi on 5 February. The election campaign will stop from the evening of 3 February. The results of the Delhi assembly elections will be declared on 8 February. Earlier, the Delhi Excise Department has decided that on which dates will be closed for liquor enthusiasts in Delhi. Alcohol sales in Delhi will be stopped as the election process draws closer.

According to the information, liquor sales in Delhi will stop on 3 February. Shops and bar are going to be closed for liquor enthusiasts in Delhi, a day before the voting of the Delhi Assembly i.e. 4 February and the date of voting. Apart from this, liquor shops will also be closed on February 8 on the number of votes of Delhi Assembly elections. That is, those living in Delhi who are fond of alcohol, will be able to buy liquor on 2 February. After this, liquor shops will open in Delhi on 6 February and 7 February. After this, liquor will be sold in Delhi from 9 February itself.

As part of the Election Commission guidelines, liquor shops are kept closed before the election, polling day and counting of votes. Under this rule, the sale of liquor in Delhi will also be closed. The interesting thing is that alcohol is also an issue in the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP and Congress are loudly taking the alleged liquor scam in Delhi due to Arvind Kejriwal’s CM.
