Before inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 12,200 crore in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the people of the National Capital Region want a government completely dedicated to all-round development as well as public welfare.
In a series of posts on ‘X’, Modi also described Sunday as a very important day for Delhi-NCR.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 13-km stretch of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut NaMo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, built at a cost of about Rs 4,600 crore. He said, “Today is a very important day for Delhi-NCR. Today, for the first time, where Namo Bharat train will enter the capital, there will be an opportunity to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects including the expansion of Delhi Metro.”
He will travel in Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad station to New Ashok Nagar station. He said, “The people and people of Delhi now want a government completely dedicated to the all-round development of the capital as well as public welfare.”
After the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various projects, the Prime Minister will also address a public meeting.
Modi said that the central government led by him is committed to expanding regional connectivity in Delhi as well as making travel convenient. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a three kilometer railway section for Delhi Metro between Janakpuri and Krishna Park costing about Rs 1200 crore.
He will also lay the foundation stone of about 26 km long Rithala-Kundli railway section and the Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Rohini.
