Let us tell you that on 27th July, due to heavy rains in Delhi, the basement library of Rao IAS Coaching Institute in Old Rajinder Nagar suddenly got flooded. During this, three students got stuck in the basement and died by drowning in the water. The students who died in this incident were Shreya, Tanya and Navin. Shreya was from Ambedkarnagar in UP, while Tanya was from Telangana and Navin Dalvin was from Kerala. All three were taking IAS coaching.
Delhi High Court had handed over the investigation of this case to CBI. Delhi Police had also arrested the driver of an SUV which was passing outside the coaching centre in connection with this incident. Delhi Police said that the car driver Manuj Kathuria drove the car at a high speed despite the water filled road, due to which the water pressure increased and the gate of the coaching centre broke. Due to which the water filled on the road suddenly entered the basement. However, later the court released the car driver on bail on August 1.
