Delhi Police on Saturday has increased security in the national capital to maintain law and order on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and ensure a peaceful organizing. An official gave this information.
During the festival, extensive deployment has been done in sensitive areas to maintain law and order, in which several teams of Rapid Action Force (RAF), paramilitary forces and local police have been deployed.
Several investigation posts have been set up in Delhi and monitoring has been increased on social media to monitor suspicious activities.
A senior police official said, “Strict monitoring is being done all over Delhi. We are keeping a close watch on any rumor or efforts to incite any rumor or communal tension being spread on social media. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules. ”
The official said that during the festival, it is not allowed to sacrifice the animal in the open, offer prayers in public places without permission and sacrifice of protected animals.
The official said, “Pedestrian patrolling, drone monitoring and increasing vigilance in sensitive areas is part of our comprehensive safety strategy.” Delhi Traffic Police is also ensuring that traffic is maintained on the occasion of Eid and people do not violate any rules during the festival.
In order to promote communal harmony and coordination, police officers have held several meetings of Aman Committee with local religious leaders and community members in various districts.
In East Delhi, the station in -charge of Pandav Nagar (SHO) visited Kotla Idgah and discussed with local Imams to ensure mob management and security. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania confirmed that such meetings are being held in the entire Delhi in view of the preparations.
