Safety net saved life

Narhari Jhirwal and other MLAs jumped from the third floor of the ministry, but got stuck due to the safety net and no one was seriously injured. The police immediately removed them from the net and controlled the situation.

Opposition to reservation for Dhanrag community

Narhari Jhirwal is currently protesting against the decision of the ruling Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra, in which it has been said to give reservation to Dhangar community in ST quota. Jhirwal and other tribal MLAs believe that if Dhangar community gets ST reservation, the rights of the tribal community will be violated.

MLAs are opposing the government’s decision

This protest of tribal MLAs is against giving ST reservation to Dhangar community. Their argument is that this is infiltrating the reservation of tribal society. Also, they are demanding special reservation for the tribal community in government jobs under the PESA law. After this incident, there has been a stir in the politics of the state and cracks have started appearing within the government as Jhirwal is standing against the decision of his own government.
