New Delhi. Friday is a historic day in Maharashtra politics, today Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister. At a grand ceremony held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, he promised to lead the state for the next five years. On this occasion, NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde also took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.

At 5:30 pm, Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister. This is the second time under his leadership that he has become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde became deputy CMs

After Fadnavis, NCP chief Ajit Pawar took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state for the sixth time. After this, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde also took the responsibility of the post of Deputy CM. This decision came after the ongoing political instability in the state, which completely clarified the power equations.
