The Mahakumbh Mela may have ended and the monk monks have left from here, but in the evening, the beautiful view of the Sangam region, who bathed in the milky light, still remains the center of attraction. There are many people who could not come to the Sangam bath in Mahakumbh due to the crowd, they are now coming. Doctor Deeksha of Delhi is one of these.
Doctor Deeksha told, “We could not muster the courage to come to hear about the crowd in Mahakumbh. Now they have come here and have taken a dip in the confluence. Looks great. There is only one shortage that we could not see Naga Sadhu. ” He said that the government has decorated Prayagraj very beautifully along with the Sangam region.
Neeraj Kesarwani, who came to visit Sangam area from Colonelganj locality of Prayagraj, says, “We could not come to Mahakumbh due to the crowd, we are sorry for this, but the evening season is not less than a fair due to the evening season being happy and LED lights in the confluence area.”
A large number of laborers in the Mahakumbh Mela area were seen to cover the temporary city spread over Triveni Sangam area, Arail Ghat and Jhunsi.
Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “It has been decided to continue some facilities in the Sangam area in view of the number of devotees who came in the number of crores of devotees in Mahakumbh. Among them, ‘Chakard plates’, light, ‘changing room’, ghats will be arranged throughout the year. ” He informed that all the tents will be uprooted in the next fortnight and as far as the pantoon bridges are concerned, the Pantoon will be reserved for Magh Mela and the rest of the pantoon will be sent to other districts.
Regarding the pantoon bridges, the Mela Officer said that 30 Pantoon (Pipa) bridges were built in the entire fair area using 3,600 pantoon (Pipa).
Superintending Engineer (Mahakumbh) Manoj Gupta said that 485 designer street lights were installed in the entire fair area at the Mahakumbh Mela to provide amazing experiences to devotees and tourists at a cost of eight crore rupees. He said that in addition, more than 40 thousand rechargeable lights (rechargeable bulbs), about 48,000 LED lights were installed in the entire fair area.
According to him, 85 kV sub -stations, 14 sub stations of 250 kV, and 128 sub stations of 100 kV were set up for 24 -hour power supply in the fair area.
According to officials, more than 66 crore devotees took a dip in the Mahakumbh Mela held from January 13 to February 26 in Mahakumbh Nagar, situated in an area of 4,000 hectares, which included the President, from the Prime Minister, the heads of the nations and the heads of state.
He said that for this fair, the Railways had invested about Rs 5,000 crore and constructed more than 21 flyover and underpass and provided transport services to about five crore passengers by running more than 16,000 trains. At the same time, Roadways operated 8,850 roadways buses.
Officials said that more than 15,000 ‘cleanliness friends’ were installed for cleaning more than 1.5 lakh temporary toilets at the fair and about 2000 Ganga ‘Seva Envoys’ for cleaning the ghats.
According to him, ‘Chakard plates’ were laid in an area of 651 km for smooth traffic in the entire fair area. At the same time, 37,000 policemen, 14,000 home guards were deployed to protect the devotees. In addition, three water police stations, 18 water police control rooms and 50 monitoring towers were set up. A 12 km ghat was built for bathing.
Officials said that the 76th district of the state, which came into existence from December 1, 2024, will remain in existence till 31 March 2025. One District Magistrate, three Additional District Magistrates, 28 Deputy District Magistrates, one Tehsildar and 24 Naib Tehsildars were appointed for this district.
For security, 56 police stations, 155 police posts, a cyber cell police station, a woman police station and three water police stations were established in this entire district.
