New Delhi. Differences have once again come to light in the opposition’s India alliance. Leaders of Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress stayed away from the Congress meeting regarding the Parliament session. Actually, a meeting of all the parties of India Alliance was called by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also attended this meeting but TMC leaders did not attend the meeting. Actually, there is no consensus between Congress and TMC regarding the issues to be raised in Parliament. There are also reports that Samajwadi Party and AAP also do not agree with Congress.
Congress wants the issue of Adani and EVM to be raised in the House. Whereas Trinamool Congress says that the focus should be on such issues which are directly related to the public. According to the news of ABP News, the issues of Sambhal, Manipur and farmers should be raised in the House. It is being told in media reports that Samajwadi Party and Aam Aadmi Party also do not agree with this stand of Congress. MPs of these parties also agree with TMC’s opinion. This is the third time that no TMC MP has attended the India Alliance meeting.
At the same time, Congress has also announced to launch a nationwide campaign to oppose EVMs, in which the parties of the India alliance have not shown much interest. On the other hand, since the first day of the winter session, the proceedings of Parliament have not continued for the whole day even once. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had also called an all-party meeting today to reach a consensus on this issue. In this all-party meeting, it has been agreed with all the opposition parties that from December 3, the proceedings of the House will run smoothly and there will be no unnecessary obstruction.
