New Aadhaar App
New Delhi: The way the use of Aadhaar card is going to change, under which people will no longer need to keep Aadhaar card in their pocket nor will it need photocopy. Actually IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has introduced a new Aadhaar app on Tuesday. The specialty of this app is that it has a facility of face ID in real time for QR code-based verification and authentication. This has eliminated the need for people to have photocopy or card of Aadhaar card with them.
Vaishnav said in a post on X, “Aadhaar verification has become as easy as payment.” Explain that after this app comes out of the beta testing phase and widely implemented across the country, when an identity card will be sought by a person, airport or train ticket checker, he will no longer have to give the basis of paper, as is in most cases nowadays. The new Aadhaar app will allow him to verify his identity after the QR code scan.
What will be the facility in the app?
Using the new Aadhaar app, only the QR code has to be scanned and this will immediately verify the face of the people. Here the ID is shared safely, which is directly from the person’s phone, not from any photocopy.
The IT Minister said that with the new Aadhaar app, users no longer need to scan or photocopy their Aadhaar. He said that there is no need to hand over photocopy of Aadhaar during the hotel reception, shops or travel. The Aadhaar app is safe and can only be shared with the consent of the user. It is 100 percent digital and safe.
The IT Minister also said that the Aadhaar app ensures strong secrecy. It prevents the misuse or leaks of Aadhaar data and provides protection from forgery or editing (such as base photoshopping). The Technology Center of UIDAI, while performing the new Aadhaar app, said that it would provide the power to the base holders only to share the required data while availing the services of their choice.
