New Delhi. The fair officer and DIG Vaibhav Krishna of Kumbh gave complete information regarding the accident on Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh. He gave the reason for the accident and also released the data of those who lost their lives and injured. According to DIG Vaibhav Krishna, a large crowd of people gathered on the Akhara road between 1 to 2 pm before Brahma Muhurta. Barricades are installed at the arena region and other places. The barricades on the other side were broken due to the excessive crowd and the crowd crushed the devotees waiting to take a holy dip in the confluence on the Brahma Muhurta on the other side of the barricades. This situation arose because the devotees waiting in the crowd could not see the people lying on the ground, causing this unfortunate incident.

Vaibhav Krishna said that the administration started immediate relief work and built a green corridor and about 90 people were rushed to the hospital through several separate ambulances but unfortunately 30 devotees died. Out of these 30, 25 dead have been identified and the remaining 5 is yet to be identified, efforts are being made to gather information about them. People who lost their lives in the accident include 4 people from Karnataka, 1 from Assam, 1 from Gujarat. At the same time, 36 injured have been admitted to Prayagraj Medical College where they are undergoing treatment. The rest of the people are discharged after treatment, currently the situation is normal. For the convenience of devotees, the helpline number 1920 has been released by the fair administration. On which information about such a person can be obtained from whom their families are not getting contact. All Mahamandaleshwar, saints and akharas have been delayed in view of the convenience of devotees.
