“Digital detox: migration with peace or technology?”

"Digital detox: migration with peace or technology?"

When we open our eyes in the morning and the last object we see while closing the night, it is often a mobile screen. In day -to -day activities, social media, email, news feed and chat apps have made our presence active all the time, on the other hand, a strange discomfort, disturbance and exhaustion have gripped us. In the same background, the concept called “Digital Detox” enters our life -Yani to return to yourself by making a complete distance from the technique for some time. But the question is whether this detox is actually a journey towards self-consciousness or just a migration in which we run away from our own world? Whenever a person turns off the mobile for some time, deletes Instagram or tries to spend a night without Netflix, he starts a dialogue not only by technology, but he is almost lost almost now.

The digital world has tied our attention so closely that our stamina, concentration and ability to introspect have almost merged. Earlier, the free time which was for introspection, now, now goes to the notification. Thoughts, emotion and feeling – they are now captured in less words, emojis and stories. According to mental health experts, staying on the screen continuously, not only the eyes, our mind also starts getting tired. Problems such as lack of sleep, distance in relationships, emotional superficiality and ‘foam’ are the product of the same digital overload, to avoid things like “digital detox retreat” are now moving towards things. But is this migration enough? Does staying a week without a phone solve the basic problem of our life? Or we return to the same loop where the endless habit of swipe is waiting for us?

Actually, the need for digital detox is not only because the technology is bad, but because we have considered technology synonymous with life. The solution to every boredom has become a mobile, every dialogue has been replaced by chat, and every spirit has been reduced to one click. Digital life has slowed down our sensations, and detox is probably an attempt to re -capture that speed. But this effort is incomplete until we understand that detox is not just distance from outside things, but an attempt to return within ourselves. Just as fasting is not only a distance from eating, but desires are controlled, similarly digital fast is also a practice of self -control. But will we promote this practice just by making an Instagram story or really live it?

The problem is also that digital detox itself is now becoming a fashion or brand. Some people adopt it only because it is a trend, some make it a part of the lifestyle but considering technology as ‘enemies’. While the technique itself is not guilty, its supernatural and inappropriate use is formed. Need is a balance, where we do not run away from technology, but make a restraint relationship with it. Technology will have to be made like a friend, who is helpful in work, but does not capture the mind. This requires time determination, understanding of screen time, and revaluation of digital preferences. Just as fasting in food gives health health, in the world of information, this digital detox gives mental health – but only when it is of self -discipline, not of appearance.

The essence of this entire journey is that detox should not be used by one time, but a continuous life process. Just as the body needs purification from time to time, similarly the mind also. Making away from technology will be meaningful only if we spend that free time to connect with ourselves, cherish relationships and clean ideas. If we spend free time in worry about what we are missing, then this detox is only an illusion. We have to be free from his habits, not by technology. This article is neither anti -technology, nor escapist – this is the only appeal to offer the screen of life for a while, and listen – what is going on.
