New Delhi. The court of Mainpuri district sentenced three convicts to death in a massacre case in Dihuli village of Firozabad district, four decades ago. The court has also imposed a fine of 50-50 thousand rupees on the culprits. Special Judge Indira Singh of the Mainpuri robbery court convicted captain Singh, Ramsevak and Rampal on March 11, now all three were sentenced. On hearing the death sentence, the three convicts started crying in the court premises. Meanwhile, after the court’s decision, security has been increased in Dihuli village and additional police force has been deployed.

The black day of 18 November 1981 when many armed miscreants attacked a Dalit settlement in Dihuli village of Jasrana under Firozabad district. During this time, whatever came in front of the miscreants, they roasted it with bullets. For about three hours, the miscreants created a lot of uproar. 23 people died on the spot while another died on the way to the hospital. Women and children were also among those who died. In the case of murder of 24 people, the police had made only 24 people accused, most of whom are no longer in this world.
The next day of this incident, Lai Singh, who lives in Dihuli village, lodged an FIR at Jasrana police station. The then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi also met Dihuli victims. Atal Vihari Vajpayee also met Dihuli’s victims. In this case, the police had made Captain Singh, Rampal Singh, Ramsevak, Radheshyam alias Radhe, Santosh Chauhan alias Santosha, Ravindra Singh, Vedram, Mittu, Bhupram, Manik Chandra, Laturi, Ram Singh, Chunnilal, Hori Lal, Sonpal, Laq Singh, Banwari, Jagdish, Kamaruddin, Shyamveer, Kunwar Pal, Revati Devi and Lakshmi.
