New Delhi. On supporting the Waqf Amendment Bill, Nitish Kumar’s party has been raised in JDU. Senior party leader Mohammad Qasim Ansari has resigned from the party’s primary membership and all the posts. In his resignation sent to JDU national president Nitish Kumar, Qasim Ansari has clearly written that he has been shocked by the party’s stand on the Waqf Amendment Bill. Qasim Ansari has described the bill as opposed to Pasmanda Muslims. At the same time, media reports claim that some other Muslim leaders of JDU are also angry with the party’s stand.

Qasim Ansari wrote in his resignation, millions of Indian Muslims like us had unwavering belief that you are purely a flag bearer of secular ideology, but now this confidence is broken. On the Waqf Amendment Act 2024, millions of dedicated Muslims and workers like us have been deeply shocked from the JDU stand. The attitude and style with which party leader and Union Minister Lalan Singh gave his statement in the Lok Sabha and supported the Waqf Amendment Bill is very much. The Waqf Bill is against us Indian Muslims. It cannot be accepted under any circumstances. This bill violates many fundamental rights of the Constitution.
According to Ansari, Indian Muslims are being burnt and ruled through this bill. At the same time, this bill is also anti -Pasmanda, which you neither realize nor your party. I regret that I have given many years of my life to the party. Therefore, I am voluntarily resigning from the primary member and other responsibilities of the party. It is being told that JDU MLC Ghulam Gaus and the party’s national general secretary Ghulam Rasul Balliavi are also angry with the party for supporting the Waqf Amendment Bill. Speculation of Ghulam Rasul Balliavi also leaving JDU is being started.
