New Delhi. With the swearing in of the new Chief Minister Atishi in the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi, the division of departments has also been done. Atishi has kept 13 departments (which she already had) with herself, including education, finance, electricity and water. After the Chief Minister, Saurabh Bhardwaj will have the responsibility of the most departments. Cabinet minister Saurabh will take charge of eight departments including health, urban development and social welfare.

Kailash Gehlot has been given the responsibility of five departments including Home, Transport, Women and Child Development, Information and Technology. Mukesh Ahlawat will also have the responsibility of five departments. Ahlawat has been made the minister of Delhi’s SC/ST, Labor, Employment, Gurudwara Election and Land and Building Department. Gopal Rai will have three departments including Environment, Forest and Wildlife, Development. While Imran Hussain will take charge of Food Supply and Election Department.

After taking oath, Delhi’s new CM Atishi first touched the feet of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and took his blessings. After this, Atishi addressed a press conference and called Kejriwal the most popular Chief Minister. She said that I want to thank Aam Aadmi Party convenor, my political guru and elder brother Arvind Kejriwal who trusted me and entrusted me with such an important responsibility of looking after the people of Delhi.

Atishi said that this is a very emotional moment for me and all of us when Arvind Kejriwal is no longer the CM of Delhi. Praising Kejriwal, Atishi said that Arvind Kejriwal has changed the face of Delhi in the last ten years. He understood the pain and struggle of every poor and common man. He gave 24 hours free electricity to the people of Delhi. Kejriwal changed the future of children studying in government schools of Delhi, gave them a new opportunity to move ahead in life.
