New Delhi. Defense Research and Development Organization i.e. DRDO makes the design of weapons to protect the country, but it has been making many such things which are useful in the interest of common people. Now DRDO has achieved another major success. DRDO’s Lab at Kanpur has developed Nanoporus multi -lered polymer membrane. Through this membrane, the salt water of the sea will be converted into fresh water. This technology of DRDO will be able to overcome the problem of drinking water of Indian forces, especially the Navy and Coast Guard as well as the seaside, on a large scale.
DRDO’s Defense Material Stores Research and Development Lab in Kanpur, UP. The same lab of DRDO has developed the Nanoporus multi -lered polymer membrane in association with the Indian Coast Guard, the Indian Coast Guard. As is clear from the name itself, it is made of polymer and has many layers. If the salty water passes through the nanometer pores of this several layer membrane, then the salt particles will stop and only sweet water will come outside. DRDO’s lab has made this polymer membrane in just 8 months. Its trial is going on on a ship of Indian Coast Guard.
This membrane has been planted by the Coast Guard in the freshwater making plant in his ship. It is being told that the test of this membrane has been successful so far. It will be passed only when this polymer membrane is tested and successful in it for at least 500 hours. Apart from the Indian Navy and Coast Guards, if this new technology of DRDO reaches the people living near the beaches, then their drinking water problem will also be solved. With the help of this membrane, sea water can be converted into fresh water anywhere. Those plants that come now are quite expensive. The new technology of DRDO will also sit cheap and will not have to ask for the membrane of desalination from abroad.
