In Bharatpur, Rajasthan, two laborers died due to soil sinking during pipeline excavation on Sunday morning, while five others are feared buried. This information was provided by the police
According to officials, police said that some laborers were filled with 10 feet deep pit dug for laying a pipeline near Nagla village, when the soil collapsed, due to which 12 laborers were buried under the soil.
Police said that other laborers and project staff started rescue work after hearing screams, but immediate efforts became difficult due to soil depth and heaviness.
The district administration, police and disaster management teams reached the spot as soon as the information was received.
Police said the rescue team used ‘Economics’ machine to remove soil and remove trapped laborers. Police said the rescue teams were successful in taking out seven laborers, two of which Ankul (22) and Vimala Devi (45) died.
