New Delhi. The results of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections have been declared. In this election, National Students Union of India (NSUI) has won the post of President and Joint Secretary, while Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won the post of Vice President and Secretary.
Raunak Khatri becomes president of NSUI
NSUI candidate Raunak Khatri has registered a spectacular victory for the post of President. At the same time, ABVP’s Bhanu Pratap has proved his claim for the post of Vice President.
Competition for the post of Secretary and Joint Secretary
ABVP’s Mritravrinda won the post of secretary, while NSUI’s Lokesh won the joint secretary post.

Ban on celebrating victory
Candidates and their supporters have been banned from using drums, loudspeakers, firecrackers and pamphlets during celebrations following the election results. Affidavits in this regard were made to be filled by all the candidates. Along with this, there is also a ban on organizing rallies and road shows. Violation of the conditions may result in cancellation of the victory of the candidate concerned.
Competition between 21 candidates
This time a total of 21 candidates were in the fray for four posts of the student union.

Main competition between three teams
The main contest in the election was between the RSS-affiliated ABVP, the Congress-backed NSUI, and the Left alliance All India Students Association (AISA) and the Students Federation of India (SFI).
Reason for delay in results
Although the election results were to be declared on September 28, it was delayed due to the Delhi High Court order. Now, with the announcement of results, a new picture of student politics has once again emerged in Delhi University.
