The Central Vigilance Commission i.e. CVC said in a report in 2020 that there was gross irregularity in building a classroom in Delhi government schools. After receiving the complaint, the CVC investigated and found that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi approved an increase of Rs 500 crore without tender. In the name of better facilities, the cost of construction was increased by 90 percent and poor work was done. Investigations revealed that 160 toilets were to be built in 193 schools, but 1214 toilets were built after spending an additional 37 crore. There is also a charge of calling these toilets a classroom. Apart from this, the disclosure of making only 4027 classrooms in 141 schools was also revealed in the investigation. Apart from this, CVC also found violation of all more rules.
