Kolkata. After the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, corruption charges were also leveled against its principal Sandeep Ghosh. These charges are also being investigated by the CBI. At the same time, when the investigation of the corruption case against Sandeep Ghosh and others began, the ED also started an investigation into money laundering. Under this, ED officials raided the house of Sandeep Ghosh’s father Satya Prakash Ghosh in Kolkata and many other places on Thursday morning. Earlier, the ED had raided the houses of Sandeep Ghosh and some other people. It was revealed in this that Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, has a lot of property and flats. It was also revealed in the ED raid that Sandeep Ghosh’s doctor wife had also bought property without the approval of the West Bengal government.

At the same time, the protest of medical students in the case of rape and murder of a doctor in RG Kar Medical College is continuing. The students studying medicine in RG Kar Medical College are gathered in front of the Health Building and demanding justice in the murder case of the doctor. However, a delegation of agitating doctors has sent a letter to Mamata Banerjee’s government and agreed to hold talks. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee’s government had sent a proposal for talks with the agitating doctors, but at that time the agitating doctors had called it insulting and decided not to hold talks.

A doctor pursuing PGT was raped and murdered in the intervening night of 8th and 9th August at RG Kar Medical College. The postmortem report revealed that the doctor was murdered in a very gruesome manner. In this case, Kolkata Police arrested its civic volunteer Sanjay Rai. Later, the Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation of the rape and murder of the doctor to the CBI. Apart from this, on another petition, the court had also asked the CBI to investigate the corruption case against Sandeep Ghosh, the principal of RG Kar Medical College.
