Raipur. The Enforcement Directorate ED raided the house of Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh CM and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel. Apart from Bhupesh Baghel’s son’s house, ED has also raided 13 more places in Chhattisgarh. ED has been raided by Chaitanya Baghel, son of Bhupesh Baghel on charges of money laundering. Quoting ED sources, the media has reported that these raids are related to the liquor scam case. There were allegations of liquor scam of 2161 crore in Chhattisgarh. Former minister Kavasi Lakhma and several officers were first arrested in this case. Now the investigation has reached Bhupesh Baghel’s family in this case.

According to the information, the ED has reached the ED to Bhupesh Baghel’s son Chaitanya on the basis of the information received after the ED interrogation of Kavasi Lakhma. Former minister Kavasi Lakhma has seen the Excise Department in Chhattisgarh. He was then accused of laundering crores of crores. This case is of the year 2019. Then there was a case of selling illegal liquor from shops by installing duplicate holograms in Chhattisgarh. The treasury of Chhattisgarh is accused of loss of crores of revenue from this scam. It is also alleged that Kavasi Lakhma took a commission of Rs 72 crore through liquor scam. According to media reports, the ED found in the investigation that the holograms installed on the bottles of liquor were built in a company in Noida, UP. It is alleged that this company was not eligible, but it was given a tender to change the rules. Instead, crores of money was taken from the owner of the company.
