Smart meters are being installed in Bihar to eliminate electricity theft and other electricity related problems. To encourage people for smart meters, South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) has taken an important decision regarding smart meters which is very beneficial for the people. It has been said that free electricity facility will be provided to selected people.
It has been made mandatory for all employees to install smart meters
Let us tell you that the company’s Managing Director Mahendra Kumar has said that it is necessary for all employees to install smart meters in their homes. Already, employees are being provided free electricity service up to a certain limit. For example, employees with a basic salary of up to Rs 23800 are given free electricity service up to 50 units every month. That is, on the basis of salary, employees are given 200 units of electricity per month for free.
But now it has been announced that to avail free electricity in this way, employees will have to install smart meters in their homes. Employees who have smart meters installed in their homes will be given the benefit of free electricity.
