New Delhi. Under the anti-Naxal campaign, security forces have carried out another major action. 10 Naxalites have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. AK-47 rifle, INSAS, SLR and many other weapons have been recovered from the encounter site. At present the search operation is going on. Bastar Range Inspector General of Police P. Sundarraj said that a joint team of DRG and CRPF security personnel was on patrol as part of an anti-Naxal operation in the forest under Bhejji police station area when firing started on them. In response, the security personnel also opened fire and killed 10 Naxalites.
According to P. Sundarraj, the security forces had received input about the presence of Naxalites in the forested hills of Korajguda, Dantespuram, Nagaram and Bhandarpadar villages, on the basis of which the operation was started. On the basis of input, it was told that all these Naxalites have come to Chhattisgarh from Odisha. Recently, there was an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Kanker, Chhattisgarh, in which 5 Naxalites were killed. Two women Naxalites were also included in these. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the Naxal problem will be eliminated by March 2025. In this regard, the Union Home Ministry has given orders to the security forces in the Naxal affected areas to arrest the Naxalites. Home Minister Amit Shah also keeps taking information about anti-Naxal operations from time to time. Due to the anti-Naxal campaign of the Central Government, no incidents of Naxalite violence were reported in the recent assembly elections in Jharkhand. The government is working on the policy of zero tolerance towards Naxalism and is carrying out operations one after the other.
