Encounter in Telangana, 6 Naxalites killed: Encounter with police in Telangana, 6 Naxalites killed, 2 soldiers injured

New Delhi. 6 Naxalites were killed today in an encounter with the police in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana. Two security personnel were injured in this encounter, one of whom is in critical condition. Both security personnel have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police have recovered a large number of weapons and ammunition from the killed Naxalites. Bhadradri Kothagudem District Superintendent Rohit Raj, while giving information about this encounter, said that this encounter took place between the police and the Maoists in the forest this morning. At present, a search operation is being conducted.

Let us tell you that the central government has asked the security forces to intensify the campaign to end Naxalism. Two days ago, on September 3, there was an encounter between the police and Naxalites on the border of Dantewada and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh in which 9 armed Naxalites were killed. The police recovered a huge cache of weapons including SLR and .303 rifles from the Naxalites. Earlier on August 29, the police had killed 3 Naxalites in an encounter on the Narayanpur-Kanker border of Chhattisgarh.

On April 30, security forces killed 10 Naxalites including three female Naxalites in an encounter on the border of Narayanpur and Kanker districts. Many weapons including AK 47 rifles were recovered from the killed Naxalites. Let us tell you that Home Minister Amit Shah, while expressing his commitment to uproot Naxalism, had recently said that I am confident that by March 2026 we will completely eradicate Naxalism from the country. The Home Minister had said that if we look at the data of the last few years, there has been a significant reduction in Naxalite attacks. The campaign against Naxalism is now in its final phase.
