Lucknow: Speculation has intensified regarding the entry of Ishaan Anand, nephew of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati, into politics. Recently, Ishaan was seen with his aunt Mayawati on her birthday in Lucknow. Since then, the discussion is in full swing whether Ishaan is going to start his political journey in future. After this, today Ishaan was also seen with Mayawati in the review meeting of BSP, which is giving new indications about his activism in politics.
Elder brother Akash is already in politics
Ishaan is the son of Anand Kumar, brother of BSP supremo Mayawati. Anand Kumar’s elder son Akash Anand is already active in politics. Ishaan Anand Kumar is 26 years old and has completed his studies in Legal Studies from London. Mayawati had recently introduced Ishaan in a press conference, in which she had told that Ishaan is handling his father’s business. This step is being seen as a sign of the beginning of his political career in BSP.

Gave blessings to both of them on their birthday
Mayawati called a review meeting of BSP in Lucknow on Thursday, in which she was seen with her two nephews. Akash Anand was seen on one side and Ishaan Anand was seen on the other side. Mayawati had blessed both the brothers on her birthday, indicating that she was ready to promote them in the party. In this meeting, future strategies of BSP were discussed and many important decisions were taken to improve the performance of the party.
The last few elections have been challenging for BSP
Let us tell you that the last few elections have been challenging for BSP. In 2007, Mayawati had formed a majority government in UP, but the party’s performance in the 2022 assembly elections was very poor. Only one MLA of the party could win in that election. Similarly, BSP’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections was also disappointing and the party did not get a single seat, while the vote share dropped to 9.38 percent. However, Mayawati had forged an alliance with the Samajwadi Party in 2019, which resulted in the victory of 10 MPs.
