New Delhi: PM Modi will launch several development projects costing over Rs 12,200 crore today. Along with this, he will address a public meeting in the capital Delhi. According to an official statement, he will also travel in NaMo Bharat train between Sahibabad RRTS station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. The statement said the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 13-km long stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut NaMo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, built at a cost of about Rs 4,600 crore. With this, Delhi will get its first Namo Bharat connectivity. This will make travel between Delhi and Meerut much easier.

PM Modi will travel from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar

Officials said that after the inauguration at 11 am, PM Modi will travel from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. Passenger operations in this train will start from 5 pm on Sunday and trains will be available at an interval of 15 minutes. He told that the fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach. Of the newly constructed 13 km stretch, six km is underground and includes Anand Vihar, a major station on the corridor. Officials said that this is the first time that Namo Bharat trains will run on the underground section. With this inauguration, Namo Bharat trains will now reach Delhi.

Namo Bharat Corridor will be 55 kilometers long

Let us inform you that PM Modi had inaugurated the 17 kilometer long section between Sahibabad and Duhai depot on October 20 last year. Officials said that currently a 42 km long stretch of the corridor between Sahibabad and Meerut South is operational, which has nine stations. He informed that with this inauguration, the operational stretch of NaMo Bharat Corridor will increase to 55 kilometers with a total of 11 stations. With the commencement of operations on this section, Meerut city is now directly connected to Delhi. Officials said that this will reduce the travel time by one-third, so that passengers will be able to travel from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in just 40 minutes.

Inauguration of the first section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro

Apart from this, PM Modi will inaugurate the 2.8 km long section between Janakpuri and Krishna Park built at a cost of about Rs 1,200 crore under the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. This is the first section of Phase IV of Delhi Metro to be inaugurated. The statement said that this will benefit other areas including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri and parts of Janakpuri in West Delhi. Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. Its construction will cost around Rs 6,230 crore. This corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, which will significantly improve the connectivity between Delhi and north-western parts of Haryana. This will ease travel in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh through the extended Red Line. At the same time, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the new state-of-the-art building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini. It will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 185 crore. (Input- PTI)
