Extortion demanded from Navneet Rana.
A threatening letter has been sent to Bharatiya Janata Party’s woman leader and former Lok Sabha MP Navneet Rana. In this letter, extortion amount of Rs 10 crore has been demanded from Navneet Rana. An official gave information about this incident on Tuesday and said that the police have registered an FIR in this matter and have started their investigation. Let us tell you that Navneet Rana has been an MP from Amravati Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party before the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
A person named Aamir sent a letter
The officer has informed that a person named Aamir has sent a threatening letter to former Amravati MP Navneet Rana through speed post and has demanded extortion of Rs 10 crore. Navneet Rana’s personal secretary Vinod Guhe has gone to the police station and lodged a formal complaint regarding this incident.
Threat of sexual harassment also
In the complaint given to the police, it has been alleged that on October 11, an employee at Navneet Rana’s residence had received this threatening letter. The sender of the letter has said that he has taken a betel nut from Navneet Rana. The accused has also threatened to sexually assault her. The police have registered a case regarding this incident and started investigation.
Speculation of Navneet Rana going to Rajya Sabha
Navneet Rana’s husband and independent MLA Ravi Rana has recently claimed that Navneet will not contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections. He told that BJP has assured Navneet Rana of getting Rajya Sabha membership. Navneet Rana was defeated by Balwant Wankhede of Congress from Amravati (SC) seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
