New Delhi. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement about Fastag. Fastag based annual pass is being started from the coming 15 August 2025 to 3 thousand rupees. After making this pass, it will remain valid till one year from the date of its activation or 200 times for a toll crossing. However, this facility will be for non-commercial private vehicles only. Any type of small or big commercial vehicles will not get the benefit. In this way, uninterrupted journey will be possible on national highways across the country.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari himself has given information about this decision by posting on social media. He informed that soon a separate link will be made available on the highway travel app and websites of NHAI / MRTH for the activation and renewal of the annual pass, which will make the process simple and easy. This policy will end the long -standing dispute over toll plazas located within a radius of 60 km and will make the toll pay comfortable through one -time accessible transactions.

Gadkari said that the annual pass policy is committed to millions of private drivers by decreasing the waiting time on the toll, reducing the crowd and ending the dispute over toll plazas. Let us tell you that the government keeps making many changes from time to time regarding toll tax on highways. Earlier, payment was made on toll through cash, then the government made Fastag mandatory to make this process accessible, which led to saving time on the toll. Now this decision of the annual pass has been taken by implementing another improvement in this direction.
