A woman Naxalite from Jharkhand has been arrested from Pitampura area of outer Delhi. She was living in the national capital as a fake identity and worked as a domestic assistant. The police gave this information here on Wednesday.
According to Delhi Police, the 23 -year -old woman Naxalite is originally from Kudaburu village in West Singhbhum in the eastern state. She was wanted in several cases of encounter with the police. A case has been registered against the Naxalites under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, Explosives Act and illegal activities (prevention) Act.
A non -bailable warrant was issued by a court in Jharkhand on 26 March 2023. Police said that the woman Naxalite probably came to Delhi in 2020. She was working as a domestic assistant in various parts of Noida and Delhi on the basis of false identity and after that she finally started living in Pitampura.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vikram Singh said, “After several months of monitoring and gathering intelligence, the crime branch got reliable information about the presence of a Maoist extremist in the National Capital Region (NCR).”
The official said that the police team conducted raids in Maharana Pratap Enclave, Pitampura on March 4 and during this time the female Naxalite was arrested.
He said that she was born in a peasant family and she joined the Marxist Communist Party (Maoist) faction at the age of 10.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police told ‘PTI’, “The woman Naxalite underwent in-depth training for five years under the leadership of a commander named Ramesh in Kolhan Jungle in Jharkhand. During the training he was taught to use modern weapons like INSAS Rifle, SLR, LMG, Grenade and .303 rifle.
