A female tourist and instructor died after falling into a ravine while paragliding in North Goa. Police gave this information on Sunday.
An official said that the accident took place in Kerry village at around 5 pm on Saturday evening.
He said that Pune resident Shivani Dable and her trainer Sumal Nepali (26) died in the accident in Kerry Plateau. The instructor was a Nepali citizen.
The officer said that the ‘adventure sports company’ with which Dabale had booked for ‘paragliding’ was being operated illegally.
He said that according to the complaint, the ‘paraglider’ fell into a ravine immediately after taking off, killing both of them on the spot.
In this regard, a case has been registered against the company owner Shekhar Raizada at Mandrem police station.
